Everything here describes what the gateway actually does today.
01
Overview
Jackbay is a directory and pay-per-call gateway for MCP tools on Robinhood Chain. Agents pay in USDG, only when a tool call succeeds.
Tool makers list an MCP server, set a price from 0.001 to 1 USDG per call, and get paid straight to their own wallet.
Platform fee at launch: 0%. For the JSON API and raw MCP calls, see API reference.
02
Connect your agent
1. Sign a spending cap
Open /dashboard and go to “Connect your agent”. Connect your wallet and sign an EIP-2612 permit (a gasless approval) for USDG with spender = the Jackbay relayer. Default cap is 2 USDG, the maximum is 20 USDG, and the deadline can be up to 30 days. Jackbay submits the permit and pays the gas.
2. Copy your key
You get a key that starts with pk_. It is
shown once and stored hashed, so save it. Your MCP URL is:
https://jackbay.fun/mcp?key=YOUR_KEY
The key is also accepted as an
Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY header.
3. Add it to your client
Claude
- Open Settings, then Connectors.
- Choose Add custom connector.
- Paste the MCP URL above and save.
Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http jackbay "https://jackbay.fun/mcp?key=YOUR_KEY"
Cursor: add this to
~/.cursor/mcp.json
{"mcpServers":{"jackbay":{"url":"https://jackbay.fun/mcp?key=YOUR_KEY"}}}
Tool names
Every listed tool appears as
<slug>__<tool>, for example
rh-stocks__price. The price per call is in
each tool’s description. Two free helpers are always
there: jackbay__search finds tools by what
you need, and jackbay__account shows your
wallet, what you can still spend and your USDG balance (it
needs a key).
03
How payment works
- Pre-check: Jackbay reads your on-chain allowance and USDG balance. If either is below the price, the call fails with a clear message and costs nothing.
- Call: the request goes to the tool maker’s server.
-
Pay: only if the result is not an error, the relayer
sends
USDG.transferFrom(owner → maker, price). USDG goes straight to the maker. -
Receipt: the result carries
_meta["jackbay/receipt"]with the tx hash and explorer link, plus a text line such asJackbay: paid 0.002 USDG to 0x… · https://….
Errors are free. If the tool fails, times out, or returns
isError, nothing is charged.
Jackbay never holds your USDG. To revoke, approve 0 USDG to the relayer from your wallet, or just let the deadline pass.

Launch your tool
Requirements
- An MCP server over Streamable HTTP, served on https at a public host.
-
It must answer
initializeandtools/listwhen you launch. -
Tool names are 1-40 characters of
A-Z a-z 0-9 _ -. - Price: 0.001 to 1 USDG per call, up to 6 decimals.
Listing rules
-
Slug: 3-24 characters,
a-z,0-9and single hyphens, no hyphen at the ends. Names like jackbay, api, mcp, admin, dashboard, explore, docs, launch and demo are reserved. - Name: 2-40 characters. Description: 10-280 characters. Pick one category: markets, onchain, data, web or dev.
Steps
- Open /dashboard, paste your server URL and preview its tools.
- Fill in slug, name, description, category and price.
- Sign the launch message with your wallet. It is free and costs no gas. The signature is valid for 10 minutes.
That wallet is the payout address: USDG goes straight to it on every paid call. You can pause or resume a listing at any time with another wallet signature.
05
Uptime checks
Jackbay checks every listed MCP server every 5 minutes: it
connects, runs initialize and reads
tools/list. Each listing shows the result as
a small badge.
- Verified live: the newest check passed, there are at least 3 checks in the last 24 hours, and uptime over those 24 hours is 95% or better.
-
Hidden from agents: when the 3 latest
checks all failed, the listing stops appearing in
jackbay__searchand tool lists. It stays visible on the website, marked down. - Back again: one good check brings it back.
Newly listed servers show “checking…” until their first check runs. Browse the live status on Explore, and every paid call on the live board.
06
Limits
Upstream URLs must be https on public hosts. Private and local addresses are blocked.
07
$JACKBAY
$JACKBAY launches on Pons on 29 Oct 2026 at 10:00 UTC, with a 3% creator tax.
Planned, 0x8b14EE03A95ed97417793533f90F736a21695348 Utility: pay for tools with $JACKBAY as well as USDG. Today, tools are paid in USDG only.
Until launch, any contract address you see is fake. The official CA is posted only on @jackbayfun and on this site.
08
Direct x402
Beta / coming Agents that speak x402 will be able to sign an EIP-3009 authorization per call and pay the maker directly, with no spending cap.
USDG supports transferWithAuthorization, so
this works on-chain. It is not live in the gateway yet.
Today, a call without a key returns a
jackbay/payment-required hint in
_meta (price, asset, chain, payTo).

FAQ
Do I pay if a tool fails?
No. Upstream errors, timeouts and gateway errors are free. Payment is sent only after a successful result.
Can Jackbay spend more than my cap?
No. The relayer can pull at most the allowance you signed, until the deadline. Calls that would exceed it are refused before the tool runs.
How do I stop an agent?
Approve 0 USDG to the relayer from your wallet, or revoke the key in the dashboard. Expired keys stop working on their own.
What does Jackbay charge?
Nothing. The platform fee is 0% at launch. Makers receive the full price; Jackbay pays the gas.
Which chain and token?
Robinhood Chain (chain id 4663) and USDG (Global Dollar, 6 decimals).
